How to enable Silverlight on Safari on your Mac

If you're using an Apple Mac with Safari 6.1 or later installed, you might have to enable the Silverlight plug-in before watching NOW TV.

To check, go to NOWTV.com and select a movie, show or live sports channel to watch (you might need to sign in with your username and password first). If you see an error message like this when you select the play button:

– then try the following steps.

Step 1:

Select Safari, then Preferences.

Step 2:

Select the Security tab.

 

Step 3:

Make sure the Allow Plug-ins box is checked, and select Plug-in Settings.

Step 4:

Internet plug-ins installed on your computer are shown on the left-hand side of the screen.

Select the Silverlight plug-in option on the left and make sure the tick box is checked.

 

Step 5:

 
For up to and including Safari 9

Under the Configured Websites section on the right, Select Allow Always from the list next to watch.nowtv.com, then select Done.

For Safari 10 and above

Under the Currently Open Websites section on the right, make sure the drop-down menu option next to watch.nowtv.com is set to On.

Step 6:

Click the Done button at the bottom of the window, and restart Safari.
