Are you an EE TV customer?

If you pay for your membership through EE TV and you don't have Sports Membership as part of your core TV package, it's easy to add it as a bolt-on. Just head to NOW Membership and select Add membership next to the one you want. The cost will be added to your monthly EE TV bill.

How can I watch Sky Sports Box Office events?

FAQs

Sports Day and Month Membership gives you access to all 12 Sky Sports channels for the period covered by your membership:

Sky Sports channels

And you can watch on-demand sports, too.

You can only watch Bonus Streams with a Sports Month Membership.

With Sports Mobile Membership you just get access to 5 channels: Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Mix, Sky Sports Racing and Sky Sports News.

Sky Sports channels with Mobile Membership

  • Sports Day Membership – £11.99
  • Sports Month Membership – £34.99

Month Membership will auto-renew at the end of each month.

To watch the Sky Sports channels you'll need:

  • Minimum 2.5Mbps broadband download speed.
  • A NOW account
  • With a Sports Day or Month MembershipOne of the devices listed here.
  • With a Sports Mobile Membership: An iPhone (5S or later running on iOS 13 or later) or Android smartphone (Android 5 or later).

A Sports Membership gives you access to huge live Premier League matches throughout the season, as well as action from the Sky Bet EFL Championship, SPFL and Carabao Cup.

If you've only got a Sports Mobile Membership, you won't be able to watch any matches on the Football or Main Event channels.

Yes, you can. To watch the Sky Sports channels in full HD, you'll need to upgrade to NOW Boost. It costs just £6 a month, and for that you get:

  • All Sky Sports channels in 1080p with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound
  • Selected Bonus Streams in full 1080p HD (where the video feed allows for higher stream quality. Bonus Streams are available for Sports Month Members only. Dolby 5.1 surround sound not available)
  • All Sky Sports channels at 50 frames per second (except on LG TV and Xbox One & Series X/S)
  • Extra devices, so 3 people in your household can watch at the same time
  • Plus you can stream on-demand sports ad-free (as well as ad-free shows and movies if you've got Cinema or Entertainment Membership). Find out more

Help tipIf you buy Boost via our website, your account could take up to 4 hours to reflect the fact that you've added it. To get around this, you can trigger it to update by signing out of the NOW app and signing back in again. You'll then be able to enjoy Sky Sports in full HD.

NOW Boost will renew automatically each month (unless you cancel it) as long as you’ve got an active monthly membership. But if you’ve only got a Sports Day Membership on your account, your Boost will only run for one month, and won’t auto-renew – so you don’t need to remember to cancel it (unless you're subscribing via a third party, like Apple).

Keep in mindYou'll need a compatible device and an internet speed of at least 12Mbps to stream in 1080p. NOW Boost isn't available with Sports Mobile Membership. Find out more about NOW Boost

If you've got a Sports Month Membership, you can access Bonus Streams for selected sports events, including additional EFL matches and F1 Race Control.

And if you've got Boost, you'll be able to view selected Bonus Streams in full 1080p HD where a higher quality stream is available.

When a Bonus Stream is available, you'll find the option on the relevant sports page in the NOW app – so for example, football Bonus Streams will be on the Football page. They may also appear under New & Trending on the NOW homepage and under Sport Top Picks on the NOW Sports homepage.

Keep in mindYou can't watch Bonus Streams with a Sports Day or Mobile Membership.

Other interactive services
If you've got a NOW Smart Box with Freeview, you can use Red Button and interactive services on live BBC channels. Just hit the red button on your NOW remote to get started. (If your NOW remote doesn’t have a red button, just use the star (*) button to access interactive services through your NOW Smart Box instead.)

You can pause and rewind the live sports channels for up to 30 minutes if you’re watching on the following devices:

  • Supported smart TVs, except for LG TVs running WebOS 3.x and below, and Samsung TVs from 2016 and earlier
  • Set-top boxes and streaming devices, except YouView, Chromecast and Apple TV
  • Games consoles: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5.

At the moment, live pause isn’t available on PCs and Macs or on smartphones and tablets, but we’re looking to extend this feature to more devices soon. Live pause isn't currently available for Bonus Streams.

No, you can only watch with your Sports Mobile Membership on a supported Android or iOS smartphone. To watch on a tablet, you'll need to have a Sports Day or Month Membership.

No, you can only watch with your Sports Mobile Membership on your smartphone. If you want a slice of the sporting action on your big screen, you'll need a Sports Day or Month Membership.

Your Sports Month Membership will start right away, and auto-renew each month.

You can start your Sports Day Membership at a time that suits you. When you add your membership, it'll automatically be saved for you for up to a year. And it'll start automatically whenever you start watching Sky Sports. (It doesn't matter what time of day you activate your membership – you'll still get the full 24 hours).

Your membership will run continuously once you start it. You won’t be able to pause it.

You can watch on 1 device at a time – unless you've got NOW Boost, which lets you stream on 3 devices at once.

You can only have one Sports Day or Month Membership at a time, but alongside either of these you can also have a Sports Mobile Membership.

Day Membership

The one-off payment will be taken out on the day you add your membership.

If you've also got another type of membership, the Sports Membership payment will appear separately on your statement.

Month Membership

Your first monthly payment will be taken on the day you add your membership. Your next payment will be taken on the same day the following month, or sometimes (if you also start another membership at the same time) a day or two later – in which case you get any extra days for free. Find out how to check your payment date

If you've also got another type of membership, your Sports Month Membership payment will appear separately on your statement.

If you're an EE TV customer, when you add Sports Membership as a bolt-on the cost will be added to your monthly EE TV bill. To check what you'll pay and when, log in to your EE TV account and look for Billing & Usage.

If you’ve got an iPhone or Android smartphone, it’s easy to add a reminder to your calendar to make sure you don’t miss the big match.

To set a reminder you’ll need to have the NOW app installed (just search NOW in the App Store or Google Play), and be logged in with your email address and password. When you find an event that you don’t want to miss, hit Add to calendar to set a reminder.

Select 'Add to calendar'

The first time you add a reminder, or when you install the app, you’ll be asked to give NOW permission to access your calendar. Just select Allow, or go to your settings to grant access your calendar.

Don’t worry – we’ll never use this to access any of your personal data. You can remove permission to access your calendar at any time in Settings.
