How to start a Cinema Membership
Already a NOW Member?
If you’ve already got a NOW account, it's easy to join in.
Just go to the NOW Membership area of My Account (you'll need to sign in, if you haven't already). Then click on Add membership (or Start free trial if available) next to the Cinema Membership.
New to NOW?
To join, head to NOWTV.com/membership and select the Cinema Membership. If there are any offers or free trials available, you'll find them here.
Then just complete your details and you can start watching straight away.
Are you an EE TV customer?
If you pay for your membership through EE TV and you don't have Cinema as part of your core TV package, it's easy to add it as a bolt-on. Just head to NOW Membership and select Add membership (or Start free trial, if available) next to the Cinema Membership. The cost will be added to your monthly EE TV bill.
FAQs
Cinema Membership is £9.99 a month. You can cancel at any time.
If you're on a minimum-term plan and you ask to cancel during your minimum term, your cancellation will only take effect when your plan ends.
NOW Cinema Membership gives you over 1000 movies to watch on demand, and access to all the Sky Cinema channels: Sky Cinema Select, Sci Fi & Horror, Premiere, Hits, Action, Thriller, Greats, Family, Drama, Comedy and Animation.
We add 3-4 premieres each week, spread over the weekend, with the Friday premiere being the main movie of the week.
We're constantly updating and adding to our on-demand movies. You can browse the movies we currently have available on our catalogue.
The Paramount+ app won't be available on NOW. However, as part of Sky Cinema’s continued relationship with Paramount, NOW Cinema members will be able to stream most of Paramount’s latest blockbusters, as well as continuing to enjoy Paramount’s library of on demand movies at no extra cost.
All you need to get started is:
- One of the devices listed here
- Minimum 2.5Mbps broadband download speed
- A NOW account
If you've got an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet, you can download selected movies (excluding 20th Century Fox and Disney movies) to your device and watch them anywhere.
Each movie can be downloaded twice, and will be saved on your device for up to 30 days. Once you start watching, you've got 48 hours during which you can watch it as many times as you like. Find out more about downloading movies
If you prefer to watch without ads, you can add NOW Boost which lets you stream on-demand movies ad-free. Find out more about Boost
If you've got NOW Boost, you can watch all the live movie channels and most on-demand movies in 1080p with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
To boost your viewing experience, just head to My Account and NOW Membership to start a free trial. At the end of your trial, Boost will roll on for just £6 a month. Find out more about Boost
Help tipIf you buy Boost via our website, your account could take up to 4 hours to reflect the fact that you've added it. To get around this, you can trigger your account to update by signing out of the NOW app and signing back in again.
You might be asked for your viewing PIN when watching the live Sky Cinema channels between 5.30am and 10pm, depending on the movie you’re watching.
If you haven't set up a PIN yet, it's quick and easy to do. Just head to the Settings & PINs section of My Account. If you've got kids in your household and you want to restrict what on-demand movies they can watch with your Cinema Membership, you can set age restrictions here, too.
Keep in mindYou’ll need to enter your viewing PIN for some live movies even if you don’t have any age restrictions set up.

Watching on YouView?
You don't need a NOW PIN – just enter your YouView PIN. Don't know it? Try the default PIN of 1234, or head to the YouView site for help.
Your first monthly payment will be taken on the day you buy your membership (or if you have a free trial, 7 days after you start your trial). Your next payment will be taken on the same day the following month, or sometimes (if you also added another membership at the same time) a day or two later – in which case you get any extra days for free. If you've also got another type of membership, your Cinema Membership will appear as a separate payment on your statement.
If you're an EE TV customer, when you add the Cinema Membership as a bolt-on the cost will be added to your monthly EE TV bill. To check what you'll pay and when, log in to your EE TV account and look for Billing & Usage.
