NOW TV Entertainment Pass
How to get an Entertainment Pass
Already got a NOW TV account?
If you’ve already got a NOW TV account, but you’ve never had an Entertainment Pass, you can easily start a free trial.
Just go to My Account, and then Passes & vouchers (you'll need to sign in, if you haven't already). Then just click on Start free trial next to the Entertainment Pass.
If you’ve had an Entertainment Pass before or you’ve already used your free trial, select BUY PASS.
New to NOW TV?
You’ll need to create an account before getting your Pass. Follow these steps:
- Go to NOWTV.com and TV Passes
- Click Choose your Pass and then Start 7 day free trial next to the Entertainment Pass.
- We just need a few details before you can grab your Pass and start watching.
Are you a BT customer?
If you pay for your Passes through BT and you don't have an Entertainment Pass as part of your core TV package, it's easy to add one as a bolt-on. Just head to Passes & vouchers and select Start free trial (or Buy Pass if you've already had a trial) next to the Entertainment Pass. The cost will be added to your monthly BT bill.

As a new member, you get a 7 day free trial. Then it’s £8.99 a month until 31 August 2020, increasing to £9.99pm from 1 September.
You can cancel at any time.
You get these live channels: Sky 1, Sky Witness, Sky Atlantic, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky History, Sky Nature, Gold, Sky Crime, Comedy Central, Sky Arts, Fox, MTV, Nat Geo, Discovery Channel and SyFy.
Plus, you get box sets for shows from all of these channels, as well as VICE, Challenge and Pick.
You’ll also find the live Sky News channel in the Entertainment section, although you don’t need a NOW TV Pass to access it. (The Sky News channel is available on most of our supported devices, except for Apple TV 3rd gen, EE TV and the white NOW TV box. If you’re watching on a YouView or BT TV Box, you’ll only be able to access Sky News through the TV guide – you won’t find it if you’re watching via the NOW TV app).
We’re constantly updating and adding to our catch up shows and box sets.
You can browse our catalogue to see the shows and box sets we currently have available.
Watching on Apple TV? The live Sky Comedy channel isn't available yet, but we're working hard to make Apple TV devices fully compatible as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can enjoy all the on-demand Sky Comedy shows on Apple TV.
To take advantage of the NOW TV Entertainment Pass you’ll need:
- One of the devices listed here
- Minimum 2.5Mbps broadband download speed
- A NOW TV account
If you've got an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet, you can download shows to your device and watch them anywhere. (You might need to update your NOW TV app to make sure you've got the latest version).
Each show can be downloaded twice, and will be saved on your device for up to 30 days. Once you start watching, you've got 48 hours during which you can watch it as many times as you like. Find out more about downloading shows
If you've got NOW TV Boost, you can watch all the live channels on your Entertainment Pass in 1080p with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
Selected box sets are available in full HD, too – and we're adding more all time.
You'll see the HD and 5.1 symbols (as shown below) if a show is available in full HD.
Help tipIf you've bought NOW TV Boost via our website, your account could take up to 4 hours to reflect the fact that you've added Boost. To get around this, you can trigger your account to update by signing out of the NOW TV app and signing back in again.
We aim for shows to appear on catch up within 24 hours of first broadcast.
Catch up episodes are usually available for at least 7 days from the date they were first broadcast.
We'll take your first monthly payment 7 days after you sign up for your free trial. Your next payment will be taken on the same day the following month, or sometimes (if you also started a trial of a different Pass at the same time) a day or two later – in which case you get any extra days for free. Find out how to check your payment date
If you've also got one of our other NOW TV Passes, your Entertainment Pass will appear as a separate payment on your statement.
If you're a BT customer, when you add the Entertainment Pass as a bolt-on the cost will be added to your monthly BT bill. To check what you'll pay and when, log in to My BT and look for Billing & Usage.
Got NOW TV Combo?
If you're a NOW TV Combo customer, when you buy a new Pass we don’t take any upfront payment. It’ll be added to your next monthly bill instead.
