NOW TV app not loading on Samsung TV

Having trouble launching the NOW TV app on your Samsung smart TV? We're aware of a few different problems you might be facing at the moment. The good news is, there's a solution for all of them...

 

I'm getting a white screen when I try to launch the NOW TV app

This problem seems to be affecting selected models of Samsung TV. Our technical team is investigating, but in the meantime, you can get around it by just pressing the Exit button on your Samsung remote to close the app. When you reopen it, the app will launch as normal.

 

I'm stuck on a loading screen when I try to watch a show or movie

This is a known issue on certain 2017 models of Samsung TV, which is also affecting some other apps. Samsung are working on a permanent fix for this problem, but in the meantime, they do have a manual fix they can place on customers’ TVs.

You'll need to contact Samsung customer service to have the manual fix applied to your account.

 

I'm getting an 'expired OTT token' error message

Reinstalling the NOW TV app will usually fix this problem. To do this:

  1. Go to the Apps page on your TV
  2. Select NOW TV and hold the remote button down until a window appears
  3. Select Reinstall.
