Scroll down to read the terms and conditions, then hit Accept.
Now grab your smartphone or computer and follow the instructions on your TV screen to sign in to your NOW account, or create an account if you're new to NOW.
Help tipWhen you see a code and you're asked to go to NOWTV.com/tv to enter it, make sure you type this address directly into your browser (rather than a search engine), and ensure the URL doesn't auto-correct and send you to NOWTV.com instead.
Wait a few moments while your apps update, then open the NOW app and away you go!
Step 8: Add Freeview channels
Using your TV remote, perform a channel scan to add loads of free-to-air channels (this will only work if your coaxial cable is connected).

To put your Smart Box on standby, either:
- Turn off your TV, or
- Disconnect the HDMI cable between your Smart Box and TV.
Auto standby
Your Smart Box will also go into standby mode if you don’t touch your NOW remote for 4 hours. You’ll see a warning onscreen before this happens – just press any button on your remote to carry on watching.To turn off auto standby, using your NOW remote:
Step 1:
Go to Settings, and select System.
Step 2:
Select Power, then Auto power off.
Step 3:
Remove the tick to turn off auto standby.
