I can’t activate my Sports Pass
Got a Sky Sports or Sports Extra Pass that's not being recognised when you go to watch a sports channel? There are a few things that could be causing this.
If you accidentally selected, ‘I’ve already got this’ on the screen shown below, but you don’t yet have the Player installed, you won’t be able to play out.
To fix the problem, follow the simple steps below.
If you’re on Windows:
- Use this link to download the Player.
- Install it (see Step 2 here if you need help).
- Head back to the website, try watching again and your Pass should activate.
If you’re on a Mac:
If you bought a Sports Pass through your TV or console and it didn't work when you tried to watch something, follow the steps below.
After each step, check to see if the problem's resolved – if it is, you won’t need to go any further.
Step 1: Sign out of the NOW TV app on your device and sign back in again.
Step 2: Watch on a smartphone or laptop for a few moments, then go back to the device you want to watch on and try watching your Sports Pass again.
Step 3: If this doesn’t work, check for updates to the NOW TV app on your device to ensure you have the latest version.
If you've already got a Mobile Pass but you're being prompted to buy a Pass when you try to watch Sky Sports, it might be because you're trying to watch a channel that's not covered by your Pass.
With a Mobile Pass, you only get access to 5 Sky Sports channels: Premier League, Action, Arena, Racing and News. (Note that Sky Sports Racing is a horse, not motor, racing channel. F1 races are shown on Sky Sports F1, which isn't included with a Mobile Pass).
This means that, for example, you won't be able to watch any football matches that are being shown on the Football or Main Event channels – you’ll need a Sky Sports Day or Month Pass for that. Check which matches you can watch with which Pass here.
